With a background in digital content, social media management, and strategic communications, I’ve worked across local government, higher education, and community engagement to craft impactful, audience-driven campaigns. I also run ExploreNSW, a platform celebrating the natural beauty of New South Wales through immersive travel content.

    • Create engaging content – reels, carousels, and photography showcasing NSW’s natural beauty.

    • Curate destination guides – highlighting must-visit spots across NSW.

    • Themed travel guides – Eat, Swim, Hike recommendations for different regions.

    • Collaborations & partnerships – worked with Destination Wollongong, Wotif.com, Sunlark, and Skinnies Sunscreen to promote travel and outdoor experiences.

  • Georges River Council

    October 2022 - April 2023

    • Led community engagement initiatives through the development and implementation of community engagement activities such as surveys, focus groups, workshops and interactive activities, to build positive relationships with the local community, businesses, resident groups and individuals.

    • Revitalised and maintained Council's online engagement platform, 'Your Say' implementing dynamic communication channels to amplify community participation.

    • Developed targeted community newsletters and presentation materials on the engagements and consultations underway, strengthening council's relationship with local businesses and resident groups.

    • Analysed community feedback and engagement metrics to identify key concerns, enabling data-driven decision-making for council initiatives and project planning.

    • Developed and implemented appropriate events and presentation materials to positively promote Council’s projects.

  • Georges River Council

    April 2023 - March 2024

    • Fostered strategic partnerships with community organisations while developing comprehensive community engagement programs and coordinating cross-functional promotions.

    • Assisted with strategic communications between Council departments, streamlining promotional activities and improving service awareness across diverse community segments.

    • Acted as the liaison between Council’s Communications team and the Community and Culture Directorate to ensure strategic, coordinated, and effective promotions of services and programs.

  • The University of Newcastle

    June 2024 - Present

    • Deliver comprehensive student communication strategies across digital platforms, fostering engagement through social media moderation and content management.

    • Assist with student communication strategy through the production and distribution of multi-channel communications such as brochures, emails, social media, digital signage, posters.

    • Assist in maintaining web content across Current Student pages.

    • Support major events and activities related to promotion and recruitment, retention, enrolments and graduation ceremonies as required.

With the help of the Student Communications Team at The University of Newcastle, I launched and managed The Know Podcast, a dedicated communications channel designed to keep students informed and engaged.

My Role:

  • Concept Development – Established the podcast as a new way to deliver student-focused content.

  • Production & Editing – Produced and edited episodes, ensuring high-quality audio and engaging storytelling.

  • Student Collaboration – Worked closely with students to feature relevant topics, interviews, and discussions.

  • Content Strategy – Integrated the podcast into the university’s broader communications strategy to enhance student engagement.
